2.5” “CANDY” swap!!! Oh Sew Sweet! ***Closes October 15, 2012***
I was in my favorite Quilt Store and saw a display of 2.5” square sets. The display was nicely labeled “CANDY Oh Sew Sweet!” I couldn’t help but name this swap likewise.
This swap is for 2.5" squares (another size of postage stamp) in sets of 50 different 100% cotton fabrics. Please send what you would like to receive. Limit is 20 sets per swapper.
BUT WAIT there’s more! I am adding a swap “TWIST”. This even sweeter CANDY Twist will be 2.5” squares of 20 different BATIKS. Again, please, send what you would like to receive. Twist limit is 5 sets.
If you'd like to join this Candy Swap PM me your information (Real name and address) to sign up, and let me know how many sets (and twists, if you choose) you would like to swap.
For example:
SheriR - 20 sets, 5 twists
Sheri R…
1234 Quilter Road
Quilting City, Texas 77222
Use quality 100% cottons only! NO flannels, NO polys, NO homespuns, NO eyelets. If in doubt of fiber content, leave it out! Washed or unwashed are acceptable.
All sets do not need to be identical. You can use what is in your stash! Each set does need to contain the right amount of DIFFERENT squares. (50 DIFFERENT cottons and/or 20 DIFFERENT Batiks) Please double check your counts…then count again. Remember, MORE is better than less.
MAKE SURE to trim off selvages before cutting your squares. Also try to be accurate in your cutting of the squares, so they DO measure 2.5".
Put each set of 50 (or 20 for batiks) squares in its own small, snack size baggies. LABEL each baggie with your board name and state you are from. For example, my baggies will say: SheriR – Texas
Put all of your sets in a larger baggie with your board name, real name and address. This way if your mailing envelope gets damaged the PO can return the contents to you.
Include for me an address label with your return information so I can easily stick it on your return envelope.
Include $5.30 for return postage and $.75 if you want me to put a Tracking Confirmation on your return envelope. I will not return your swaps until I have exact postage from you to cover the charges. $6.05 total. You can send me cash or stamps, which ever you prefer. Put this postage in a seperate envelope along with your return address label.
Mail your swaps to me anyway you choose. If you use the PO flat rate envelopes, reinforce the seams with tape so they are more durable while being shipped.
*PLEASE* I will REQUIRE you send your swaps to me WITH a Confirmation Number. This will alleviate any questions as to where your swap is. I cannot be responsible for swaps that do not make it to my mail box without a confirmation number.
I will return your swapped “Candy” in a bubble padded USPS Flat Rate Envelope which I order from USPS for free. The cost to mail this is $5.30.
If your sets cost more than what you sent me, I have no choice to hold them until I get the difference. Thanks for your understanding.
Sign-ups close October 15, 2012. Sets are due to me by October 31, 2012. I will swap them out, and get them in the mail no later than November 15, 2012. Anything received after October 31 will be returned to sender.
** If you’re shipping from outside the USA, please mail 10 days earlier (Oct. 5) to make sure I get them in time. ** Send me a PM and we can make arrangements for payment of return postage if you will have a problem acquiring US$.
Please feel free to mail your sets early, if you wish.
