This sounds like fun, never have done this before. I like the idea. Before I say I am in. Question, what do you do with 1.5 inch pieces, OMG...do you actually make a quilt and how many would you need to make a queen size quilt. Sorry for my ignorance. Guess I better get busy.

here are a variety of pics of postage stamp quilts (psq's) and here is a chart of the numbers of squares needed per the size you cut them. i hope this generates enough interest for you to join us.

Raine- you can do lots of projects with the squares. Quilts, add to totes, do placemats, etc. The squares finish up at 1" squares, so you can calculate how many you'd need by figuring the size you want the quilt. Kind of "working backwards".
How big of borders, and how many, do you want? Let's just say that you need lots of the little squares!!

Thank you so much, Havplenty for the pics, and Mariposa for your explanation. I'm in for 30 sets. (Want to make sure I understand) So that is, 50 pcs of 1.5" in a baggie, and 30 of those? Do they have to be all the same fabric or can it be different fabrics as long as its 100% cotton.

Raine- each baggie needs to have at least 50 squares in it. Each square is a different fabric.

I've looked at the title of this thread, more than once. More than twice... I'd think about it, and decide I didn't want to get all of that out, cut what I need, fold it back up and put it away...

Then Havplenty put those links (@ message #14) and that was it! I'm going to give it a whirl... For now I'm saying 20 sets; will start cutting and stacking this week and see how it goes!
