Default Baskets?

I love storing sewing items and some scraps into pretty baskets. I have found cute ones at the thrift store, and have a couple on top of a shelf in my sewing area, but I need another area to hang some. I really want a way to hang some. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

It depends on how you want to hang them. If it's from the wall you could put peg board up with the hooks and hang baskets from the side handles..If it's from the ceiling you can get the chains and hooks for hanging lights or use straps or those macromae (sorry MSP) like for hanging plants. Hope this helps getting those pretty baskets up.

I hang baskets from painted boards with wooden pegs and shelves that have boards underneath them with wooden pegs. I also have three hearts with wooden pegs I hang baskets on. Got them all at craft fairs.

I like the pot rack idea - I can just picture all the pretty baskets hanging from it!

If you're wanting to hang them on the wall with the insides facing out use floral wire. Run the wire thru a small section of the bottom of the basket, twist it, stick a nail in the wall and hang!

My sewing rooms are down in the basement. I tap those "U" nails into the ceiling beams then cut up wire coat hangers, different lengths, and shape them like an "S". Hook one into the "U" and hang the basket from the other. This can only be done if you don't have a ceiling covering the beams.

I like the idea of a pot rack but another (more rustic) idea is to mount a ladder on your ceiling. Use S hooks to hang your baskets.
