I was addicted Longaberger baskets for years. Seems everything I bought I was turning into sewing baskets. Won't tell you how many I bought over the years they are so wonderful. I still get e-mails from a local sales rep so that I can keep up with them. On and their pottery.... I have several items. I just display them on shelves. Some of them I have projects in so I keep items separate and ready to go. Took one large basket on vacation and the bellhop was putting it on the cart to take to the room and I told him I had to carry it because if anything happened to it I would have to do something drastic to him. My husband said that I would too, so he believed me and gave it back to me very carefully.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions for hanging them.

I too have Longaberger baskets (over 400 along with pottery, wrought iron products, draperies and bedding, lol!) in my sewing space and have them on shelves. I've thought about hanging an old ladder or pot hanger to display more baskets.

i like the pot rack idea or hanging them on ribbons from ceiling hooks or a dowel. Boy, I need to get organized

Another idea is use one of those closet organizer shelves (white coated metal) that you've anchored to the wall up high (good storage space for not used often items in bins) and then use "S" hooks to hang your baskets (hook into the handle or run wide ribbon from side to side in open baskets w/o handles). You could anchor a pegboard behind it on the wall for tons of storage, too - use those open containers that hook into pegboards for smaller items.

I was a Longaberger Consultant for 10 years. I sold ~ 100 baskets at a garage sale last Spring and still have ~200 left not counting the pottery and wrought iron. I am slowly using the baskets to sort my quilting projects and fabrics. It seems that the interest in the baskets has wained (sp?). If you need any baskets that I might have......let me know and perhaps we can make a deal. I have lots of the fabric napkins etc and keep thinking I will use them in a quilt or table topper. I have more time to dream than time to quilt.

You could put in two ceiling hooks, then run a dowel between them. Hang s hooks or bend wire.

All great ideas. A teacher friend hung a cheap curtain rod from her classroom ceiling and added S hooks to hang student work from. That would work for your baskets. (Maybe get a nice curtain rod.)

I love baskets to hold my sewing and knitting stuff in, but I don`t hang them. I love them on shelves and the floor

I am a basket maker and I store lots of mine on a rod tucked behind the valance in my kitchen window and I have used S hooks to hang others just a little lower, so they make a second valance, so to speak. I have also used S hooks to hang some of them from a floor lamp in my sewing room. In other houses, I had beams to hang them on. and I have used them for storage. My cat has claimed a large one for his "safety zone", too. I use mine for serving food, displaying fruit, any old thing. Good luck and have fun playing!
