Default been away for so long new room

    Hi everyone,
I have been so busy and so tired with finishing the house and lots of negatives happening in my life so hopefully we will back to living a normal stress free life, if I told you what has happenend since the house burnt down you would cry buckets, then to top it all of the air conditioner in my sewing room in the shed broke down and it is to hot to work in there during the day unless I get up at 5 AM so I have temporarily moved into the spare room of the house, ( much to Dh's annoyance as he wanted all my craft and sewing out of the house, LOL) so here are some pictures of my temporary sewing room. the skirt is a piece of fabric I picked up for $1.00 it was rolled up with an elastic band I was going to use it for quilting till I got it home and saw the lovely panel down one side, it was just enough to make a skirt but as I had to put the seem down the front because of the panel I made a pleat,
Hope you like my temp room LOL

No it came like that and I didn't even know it was there till I unrolled it, I buy a lot of material from an op shop they sell it for $1.00 a roll no matter how big or small and it is all rolled up I just liked the colour and was going to use it in a quilt till I opened it, LOL

Isn't it your house too? Why should you have to be out of the house with your work unless you wanted to shut yourself off out there. Peanuts on him!!!!!!!

We are all so funny....we applaud and brag on our husbands because they "are so understanding and supportive." But let one have an odd comment or quirk....then we're all over them like they are the most vile, evil creatures! My goofy hubs said (and I'm telling the truth here) that when they put the ears on my potato head, they put them on uneven! Oh, he's not forgetting that for a while! He was joking and it's funny as heck (I really am not angry) but I'm going to take advantage. I told him today that my potato head needs time to figure out how much fabric his comment will cost him. I suggest you do the same. You need a nice little stash in that temp room.

I love it in the shed it is fully insulated and big enough for my quilting machine and long bed, plus on Monday afternoon I have up to 3 friends come over to sew or chat no men allowed, Private womens business LOL but without the air con it is just to hot. I will leave my stash out there and just get what I want as I need it, I do love my DH to Bits but he knows that I can get quite untidy when it comes to my sewing room and my shed is 9mtrs /4.5 mtrs great space to work in.
I had a problem on a cat site after I had to give away half my cats 23 of them after the accident and got accused of dumping them. the response was like a pack of wolves in for the kill they didn't even bother to ask why I gave them away.
I am still trying to recover as is my husband, I have 3 bulging disks and one is pressing on the spine, still waiting for the specialist appointment to see if anything can be done.

Nice room, and you're saving him money by making your own clothing! (Snicker!) Enjoy the room and may everything be better for you in this new year.

Great skirt, love the color. Tell DH if he wants you out get the AC fixed. I love my outside sewing/quilting room. I was out there until 9.45pm tonight. I'd been out there most of the day, quilting. Went out after dinner. DH doesn't mind. I hope things are looking up for you. I couldn't imagine having a house burn down. Happy quilting in your temporary space.

Your room looks like a great place to sew and forget about your worries, and those who cause you to worry. I'm so sorry your house burned down but glad you and DH will be okay. Hope the discs in your spine can be repaired - that's so painful, but if the docs do it right, you'll be good as new! Happy sewing!!!
