Default Check out my new sewing table!

My DH built me a wonderful new sewing table. The back folds out into an extension so I have a huge work surface. It has a lift so I can easily adjust the height for embroidery or push it down out of the way. When we put the machine in the table, he noticed that the top color-coordinates with the machine. I feel so blessed that this wonderful, talented man loves me.

Your set up looks like exactly what I need. I have a handy DH also that could make just about anything. What is stumping him is the lift part. Could you explain what was used in yours? And also what is the top material? It looks like particle board, but I know that wouldn't be smooth enough to run fabric over.
And help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
He's in the "scratching stage". If you know what I mean.
I am currently sewing on a long banquet table with the machine sitting on top. So you understand the issues involved in that.
Thanks again in advance.

You are truly blessed to have him and that he is supportive of your quilting & sewing. I would be glad to send him the dimensions of my machines so he can build me one, now that he has finished yours and has the free time. HaHaHa!!!
