You said "put it together" Was the room a kit or did you buy the plans? If so, who sells it? My daughter will be moving to Utah to start her PHD program in August so it may be getting time to downsize our home. When I let my DH know of my concern of not having enough room to quilt he said we might have to build me a quilting cabin at the new house.

I am officially severely jealous! I just built a sewing room in my basement and despite maxing out the space as much as possible, I find myself wishing it were bigger, especially when I have two tables set up to pin a queen-size quilt and I can hardly move around the edges of them. While I am really happy to have a dedicated room and am no longer in my dining room, your new arrangement is the Cadillac of sewing rooms. Congratulations!

What a great space to create. And all the tools you can spread out to do that. So happy for you. Enjoy.

Thanks all! I am just THRILLED with all the space! It was either the building or I took over the dining room for the longarm! Hubby decided it was time for the move! Now I can quilt til my hearts content! After posting this, I stopped by our new LQS & am now going to be teaching some classes! The area is just screaming for fresh ideas! I have lots to keep me busy with the kits I've made up to do & now getting classes together & getting the longarm business going. I don't think retirement is going to be very boring at all!
