Smile Finally Organized with my peg board

I cut a peg board to 2'x4' and painted it olive green then put 2" squares around for boarder. cut dowel rod for thread that is sorted by color. Hung rulers, hot glue gun, rotery cutters, misc.
Next I took my old shoe storage unit and place all my flanels in it. On my table are baskets of squares, triangles, and strips. My material is in one shelf area for quilting and on a blanket rack is my backing/batting. I don't have much of a stash. I have a tote for other craft supplies and a basket for my yarn. I like to quilt, crochet, sew, plastic canvis and other crafts as the mood hits. So here is my small area between my kitchen and living room in my apartment.

My DH just installed a 2 x 4 peg board in my sewing room, but we were at a loss as to how to organize the thread in a way that wouldn't stretch his handyman skills. Cutting a dowel into pieces like you did is the perfect answer! Thanks for the inspiration.

It's simply wonderful! You're well organized and that's half the battle.
