Default How do you organize your presser feet

I have more feet than storage in my machine tray. I'd sure like to hear how you store or what you use to store your presser feet in.

I'm thinking maybe a clear plastic bead storage box but then knowing how clever the members on this forum are I thought I'd ask for your advice.

I have a cute little case that my Bernina feet hang in. I keep the ones I use occasionally in it but my 1/4 piecing foot, zig zag foot, FMQ foot, zipper foot are currently on my cookie sheet that I keep on the side table with all my other sewing notions.

Organized?? ha!! My feet are all mixed together in a little rectangular tin that came with the machine.

That said, I hardly ever change my feet. My avatar machine always has a regular old foot on it and my FMQ machine has a darning foot.

Now for my serger and my emb machine I have the nice leather binders to put them all in. Before that I went to Walmarts and got a small 3 drawer cube and then in the med isle I got little bags made to put your daily meds in and you can write on the bag. I put each one in a bag with the instructions and put the name on the outside. Worked great. I still use the cube to put the small screw drivers, etc for my machine in.

since i have several brands of machines, i store the attachments in clear deli containers and write the machine name on the top with a sharpie.

I keep mine in a pill container that has 14 days of the week & each little space has a snap up lid.
I have marked the lid with the initial of the presser foot on the lid.

[QUOTE=Tartan;7136931]I have a cute little case that my Bernina feet hang in......./QUOTE]

IMHO that cute little case with the Bernina was just that ... cute!
But not really practical.
Fine if you have the perfect place in your sewing room to put it.
Fine if you only have a few feet to store, and let hang in their cute little way.
Not so good, if you get any extras!

I soon learned it was not going to work for me.

I found a plastic box with dividers in.
Perfect size for each foot to sit in its own little compartment.
They can stay in order by their foot number, and I can easily find them, as a result.
The buttonhole foot is larger, so out came a couple of the dividers to allow for that.

There are enough sections that I can keep the extra needles in the same box ... again divided according to type and size.

Works for me!
