Looks like a perfect solutions for those that need a quest room. We have no overnight guest and no spare rooms. Having a design wall too is just icing on the cake. Great looking room.

What a great idea and use of space. Where there is the will, there is the way. Congratulations to your DH on a job well done.

Fantastic idea! Hubby did a great job. Wish I had one in guest bedroom. Never enough floor space and no design wall.....this solves both issues.

We ordered the mechanism and plans online from Rockler Woodworking. It's @$300. I have no affiliation with this company, but we researched our options and decided to go with this. We're very happy with it & the directions were easy to follow, per my husbands comments.

He's not a finish carpenter? Looks pretty good to me! What a clever and ingenious idea. Congratulations to you both!
