Default Moved Sewing room = much more space

My family has been complaining that we aren't spending time together, but I really like to sew at the end of the evening rather than watch tv.

The solution has been to take a large room we used just for the kids and turned it into an upstairs sewing room/family room.

I'm very excited about this!

What I would give....That is a very nice set-up and brilliant idea. I think you are going to really love your new sewing space.

Thumbs up

I am "green" with envy. Not that I have it so bad but I have to work in 2 rooms next to each other. I cut & press in 1 room & my machines are in the other. Of course, they are bedrooms from when our girls lived at home & on the smaller side but I am soooooooooo lucky to have them. I just wish they weren't upstairs, away from the main area of the house. Sometimes you feel so out of it but sometimes that's not so bad either. Your room is awesome !!! By the way, that quilt on the wall is gorgeous.

That's a good idea, rather than you having to forego sewing altogether. Everyone is happy - isn't that great when that happens!!

Love your quilt on the design wall and what a wonderful open space. Right now I have a sewing room at home and a portable one set up in my daughters bedroom. I watch the grands during the week while she works then home on the weekends.

Great idea! and a beautiful room. I am hoping that if I put a TV (I'm saving for it now) in the quilting room, I'll both see more of my family AND spend more time quilting.
