Default My new cutting table...

A while back there was a post of a cutting table that I just knew I had to make myself. Now I am not good with instructions I'm more of a visual. My fiancée and I went to Ikea and purchased the items needed to create this table and I actually had fun making this. It's not close to what the one quilter had done but I'm happy with the results. BTW Ikea no longer carries Expedit instead they replaced it with the brand Kallax which is about the same.

Excellent table .. you should be proud and very happy ! I have an IKEA within walking distance ...I might just have to try to tackle this project.

Default Wall units sewing room...

Excuse the mess from the cutting table as my sewing is still a work in progress since moving into our home. I wanted to share with you that we also bought the Kallax 8 cube from Ikea. Please note **THESE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE HUNG ON THE WALL** What my fiancée did is he put a 2x4 wood underneath it and then used strong brackets attached to the studs. This holds very well. And we bought two unfinished wall cabinets and painted it white with some nice hardware pulls. I love it!

I wish we had an Ikea close. The closest one to us is about 500 miles away. But, I love your cutting table. Great job and it's very pretty, too.
