It's very sturdy and resiliant... It's been taken apart many times and moved and is still as good as when it was put together the first time. The only negative is that I can't make a cut out to set my machine level with the desk...

Nice area, especially the light. I was wondering about the height of your sewing machine bed. It has been suggested for good posture, while sitting at your machine. Your elbows should be bent at 90 degrees' with hands flat on the bed. The back should be straight, knees also at 90 degree. For alot of us our sewing bed (not table surface)is somewhere between 28"-30" from the floor. You never want to be bent over and lending into your machine. BACK ACHES from neck down to your low back.
