Great idea. Being tall, getting to the back of cupboards on the ground is a real challenge. And it uses less floor space. And their closed to keep sun and dust off fabric.

When we remodeled our kitchen/dining room area - not a very large area anyway, I wanted a 'china hutch type wall, so we used upper cupboards as bases as well, we added glass doors on some of the upper cupboards and left a shelf area between the upper and lower cupboards. Love it - the base cabinets take less room and things don't get 'lost' in the back of a base cabinet.
