This is a great area. I especially like the long counter space to sew. Did you have the cabinets custom built?

Beautiful & inspirational room. Very open. I am still in the process of setting up my after a move last year. I finished up the valances yesterday & put them up. Really livened up the room. I used a fabric with a cream background but, has bright cheerful colors. I love what they do for the room. Your green walls do that also. So now you can go forth, create & conquer those straight seams. LOL!! You & your daughter will enjoy it for a long, long, time.

Nice to see someone else using cork flooring. I have that in my sewing room too. I grew up with cork flooring as we couldn't have carpeting because of allergies in the family. I love it. It seems warmer than wood plank flooring or artifical plank flooring.

The spool blocks are a pattern by Thimble Blossom called "Spools" http://thimbleblossoms.bigcartel.com...-roll-patterns. I made mine from a kit from Hancock of Paducah when it was on sale. It was the first time I used a kit & really enjoyed it, I had fabric left over.

Thank you. The cabinets were not custom made, they came from Home Depot & were affordable for the few I needed.

Good for you! Love the window over your machine. It will give you lots of additional light! How lucky are you that your DD sews with you.
