Default Thanks Everyone for your replies and encouragement.

Thanks to all for your kind replies and encouragement. It helped us find a bit of time to get into the room and do the cutting for our first quilt. Happy to report all twenty fingers are still attached, we took turns measuring and wielding the cutter, and in the pic below are the stacked seven rows, each with five blocks, and some scraps for us to experiment on.
…. the outdoor picture this week is actually two weekends old, taken a few miles northeast of town near Mongaup Falls Reservoir in NY.

Everyone enjoy... John and Mary

How lovely that you can quilt together facing each other! I loved the pic of the river also, with the crisp snow around it. Happy sewing to you both may you create lots of beautiful items and inspire each other as you bounce ideas off of each other!

What a blessing to have a couple share the quilting experience. I often dream that one day my hubby would find interest in it. Your pics are wonderful and being from NJ understand your snow shoveling experience. Welcome, John and Mary to the "WONDERFUL" quilting board!!!
