All for me!!
 

Back in January DH came with me to see about a shed that I would turn into my own personal sewing/quilting place. Long story short, for a little extra I could also have garage space for my car. We ordered said double garage, organised with company for slab to be laid. Then it started to rain.

Episode 2
 

End of February slab was finished. March 1st shed components were delivered. Then it rained. Finally work was started, Day 2, it began to rain. Finally work recommenced.

Shed is finally completed. Then trenches for drainage and electricity had to be dug. Long process as DH was doing this bit. Finally threatened to bring in professionals. Amazingly work moved along after that. Long story short and more pics, I hopefully will be able to start moving in this weekend or early next week. Security bars on windows and side door. Pics later.

oO I want one!!!!!!! I have a ton of questions!
1. What are the dimensions?
2. Will you insulate?
3. How will you heat it in winter?
4. How much does it cost!?!
5. I wonder how much it will raise taxes...

You could PM me the answers, I know it's rude to ask how much & all but I'm really interested in the idea of having a space w/windows and the only way I would get that is doing something like this :)

How exciting!! And your car can fit!! I can't even get my car in my garage...DH "stores" everything in there. But before winter hits him & my DS will be giving my space back!! Hope you enjoy your own "little" world!!

Glad to see how helpful DH is. Isn't it great to have one that can create & do? I know it's your winter because my sister is in the states visiting now. With winter it's a good thing to have it all enclosed now. Bet you're really getting excited to get in there.:thumbup:

Super! What fun you'll have fixing up a brand new space. And on the bright side, with all that rain, you don't have the drought problems going on in so much of the US this season.

Thank you everyone for all your kind thoughts & words. Yes I am excited and can't wait to get in it. DH will be away for 6 weeks from the start of September so I'll be able to spend lots of time setting it up. I look forward to being able to go straight to what I want and not spending hours looking for things. My computer will stay in the house so hopefully I will use my time more productively. Quilting & Embroidery in the day time, computer at night.
I will keep a pictorial journal as I set up and will share them so you can see how it turns out.

The rain has stopped now and every thing is green and although it is cold this winter the days are glorious.

I am waiting to see how long before my friend bans her car from the space so she has more sewing room lol

Awesome! And what a sweet supportive hubby. Can't wait to see your new studio with all the stuff in it. Have fun organizing and moving.
