Building a Design Wall 8 foot square.
I got the wall done today. 2x4 framed with particle board backing then the insulation then flannel. It has a 2x4 holding the bottom out 3" I think it turned out ok, it works well my string quilt on it. In the future I want to make it free stand in the floor and have the backside finished as a design wall too.

|
I was just thinking of making a design wall today...thanks for the ideas...

What did you use for your design board...flannel? What size did you use? I am working on mine now and am stymied because the board is 48" wide and the flannel is 41 - 44" wide.

It is flannel the wall is 8'x8' I had 9 yards in it. I got 9 yards and cut it every 3 yards then sew it back on. I think you can see the seam in the pics.

Great idea, I use by bed as I don;t have enough room for one.
