Foamcore

So I put "most" of my fabric on the foamcore form Dollar General. I am just a few pcs short. I could not find white anywhere - so I did end up getting the board in black. Do I need to worry about that at all? Any difference anyone knows of???

I will post a picture later or tomorrow - it is so pretty!! :)

I don't have an answer for you re: black corboard, but I have a question. Where in Dollar General did you find it? And is it used for something else? No one in my local store had a clue what I was talking about.
Thanks!

I did the same thing with the Dollar store foam boards. I found them in the stationery section of the store...with the pens, pencils and notebooks. Both black and white. They are in a large box, sitting on the floor. Hope your store has them. It has worked so well in my sewing room. Helps me to be more organized and less cluttered. I select a fabric, cut it and put it back...most of the time. Best $30 I ever spent!

I only use the black with dark fabrics. I don't know if the lack will cause damage, but I said to myself, "Why take a chance?"

I found them at my DG in the rack with poster boards. One of my DG has them and the other one doesn't. Some Dollar Trees also have them but mine didn't.

hello i was wondering what size to cut them. i cut a few 10 x 10 but is there a most popular size to cut them? or cut as needed.

For me, it depends on the amount of fabric and on the shelf size. I use dresser drawers for fatties and 1 yard pieces and my shelves for larger pieces. You need enough additional height above the fabric to move it in and out of the shelf easily if you are storing it vertically.
