How I hang my rulers

I have a idea I went to Ikea and found a kitchen pot rack and bought the S hooks. I put the racks on the wall and hang the rulers on the S hook by putting the ruler on the hook by the hole on the top of it. Good way to hang your rulers and be able to see what you have!!!!!

Go to Ikea abd check under towel racks and then go to hooks!!!!!

Worth the $$$$$

well thats a cool idea...thanks

Great idea!!!!

Another idea is using pegboard. You can hang all sorts of stuff on a pegboard. You can paint it to match you room too.

....or use the s hook idea, but put up either curtain rod w/brackets or towel rack if space is limited and the things hang on the pole

Thank you. I have been trying to figure out how to hang my rulers. Instead of putting them in my drewers/or any where else I can think to put them.

bebe 04-11-2013 05:23 AM

Yes I think it is a great idea because you can see all the rulers you have and move over with ease. Also your rulers do not bend:)

Great idea!

I had an old kitchen utensil rack with "s" hooks. Works great. Think I paid a $1.00 at Dollar Tree. Fits more than one ruler on each hook.

That is how I hang my pots and pans. I have been debating handing a nice curtain rod on the wall and doing the same thing,

I use the small command hooks that hinge so they work really well.

kitsykeel 04-11-2013 04:07 PM

I hope this thread helps you because they must be pretty uncomfortable in your drawers.

i would think especially if you wore bikini drawers!!
i keep my rulers on the wall and my bikinis in my drawer!

cpcarolyn 04-12-2013 06:34 AM

Great idea. I hang mine in the closet on round hangers.

auntpiggylpn 04-12-2013 06:53 AM

I hang mine on a multi tiered skirt hanger. I guess I should say "hangers" because I have more rulers than one person needs! I think there are 8 clips on each hanger. http://www.amazon.com/Whitmor-6021-1...5778561&sr=1-6

beware of those 3m command hooks...I stopped buying/using them when two pics I had hanging from them dropped to floor one nite and scared the "you know what" out of me........So I guess they sort of dry out after awhile. The pics hanging from them fitted the recommended weight limit posted on the packs....so just a heads up to all about those little wonder hooks......

I hang mine on a screw on the wall. I forget I have some command hangers and should use them. I get tired of patching the holes when I don't need them. For the ones that don't have holes, I use a ruler rack. I do have to move them to move them to get to the one I want to use.

Great ideas here today....thanks....I'll have to give some of them a try.

Can you show a picture of your rulers hung up? I am trying to decide if I want to do peg board or not. This sounds like it might work better since I was going to put the peg board above my cutting/pressing station.

bebe 04-12-2013 04:23 PM

sure I will post a pic once hubby takes a pic!!!!!

Hanging rulers

I use an old belt hanger that's circular - it works great because the hook on the top can do a 360!

What wonderful Idea! thanks for sharing!

They are very easy to drill a hole in.

I have peg board in my sewing room with all my rulers and some miscellaneous other stuff hanging on it. I also have one by the ironing board with the ham, seam roll, sleeve board and some smaller stuff on it.

I sew on an enclosed back porch with windows on 3 sides. I put up mini-blinds then put up a curtain rod over them & use shower curtain hooks to hang all my rulers. Works for me

I remember those hangers, during my school age years I had lots of those in my closet. In grades k through 8, we had to wear either dresses or skirts M-Th and Friday was jeans day.

I use the Commands hooks also. Some rulers hang on the side of the bookcase that holds up one side of my cutting table. The smaller ones sit in on of those upright letter organizers that sit on a desk.

I use a clothes T bar stand-free standing and metal shower curtain hooks bent sideways.
