Finished the drawers for the ironing center.
They are on full extension ball bearing sliders.
There is a storage area above the drawers for cutting mats and stuff....

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Absolutely love it!

paulswalia 02-15-2012 02:53 PM

I'll take it!!!!! Seriously, I bet you could sell LOTS of these. I would love to own one. You've got me looking at the old dresser and wondering....hmmm.....wonder if I could get my husband interested in revamping it like this one? Nice job!

spartan quilter 02-15-2012 05:55 PM

That looks absolutely awesome. Great job, and bet you are going to love using it.

morforles 02-15-2012 06:24 PM

How wide/deep is the table? It is absolutely wonderful! Happy ironing/quilting!!

Leslie

This is great, I need 2 of them.

nstitches4u 02-15-2012 06:53 PM

Wonderful ironing center. I have one that is similar. DH built a big board top to go on a dresser that we had in our guest room before we bought new furniture. I added a couple layers of Warm and Natural batting and covered it with heavy cotton fabric. I love it. I didn't think about having him build in a shelf for mats. Hmmmm---I wonder if he could raise the top a few inches and add a shelf. LOL

WOW!!! wonderful ironing center. Every quilters dream.

ksdot417 02-15-2012 08:27 PM

Great ironing station.

Pickles 02-15-2012 10:16 PM

I love your ironing station I need one of those to, maybe I can sweet talk my Hubby into building me one.
Thanks for showing us your's.

slk350 02-15-2012 10:31 PM

Great ironing center, love it

nstitchs 02-16-2012 02:57 AM

Great job, love the storage idea. Here's another you could think about. How about a 6" shelf fastened to the back so that when you are ironing yardage, it will sit back there and never touch your floor. Thats what I have and it works great. But my table is nothing gorgeous like yours. Love yours.

Juliebelle 02-16-2012 03:47 AM

That is fabulous, I agree with everyone you could sell a lot of those. Enjy

cpfrog 02-16-2012 05:24 AM

mrsponcho1 02-16-2012 07:49 AM

Awesome! I love the way that it is open underneath it and did not go all the way to the floor. Enjoy many hours of ironing!

RonieM 02-16-2012 08:13 AM

Absolutely beautiful - I love it!!

jaciqltznok 02-16-2012 08:21 AM

awesome! you will enjoy that!

gypsylady5 02-16-2012 09:33 AM

That is a great ironing center. Much better than the take down - put up ironing board that most of us have to use. Great job!

fatquarters 02-16-2012 09:40 AM

Wow, that is great. I have one much the same size, which I love but mine is not so pretty!

caspharm 02-16-2012 10:00 AM

That is a wonderful station. I would love to have that.

patimint 02-16-2012 10:09 AM

Rubesgirl 02-16-2012 04:15 PM

This is beautiful!:) I Want One!!!

Elaine433 02-16-2012 04:21 PM

Wow! I love that. I have my ironing board set up at one end of the house and my sewing room at the other. Only if I am working on something that requires a gread deal of immediate ironing, will I move the set up next to the sewing machine. I like chain piecing so when I have enough done, I walk to the ironing board. I would love a set up like you have.

butterflies5518 02-16-2012 05:11 PM

I want one!

MaryAnnMc 02-17-2012 05:11 AM

Absolutely fantastic! Those would sell like hotcakes. I love my Ikea cutting/ironing table, but I have to agree, that slot for mats is the cat's meow.

dahlshouse 02-17-2012 05:42 AM

This is wonderful... you should patten the design and sell it...

damaquilts 02-17-2012 05:45 AM

What a beautiful set up. And the space for the cutting mats is a great idea. I have one of mine slid behind book cases and one hanging.

luvTooQuilt 02-17-2012 06:14 AM

Awesome...

littlehud 02-17-2012 06:31 AM

Wow, that is awesome. I want one just like it.

Quiltngolfer 02-17-2012 06:32 AM

Wonderful ironing center. You thought of everything! I especially like the area for your rulers.

NancyNC 02-17-2012 08:07 AM

This is amazing! Would love to have something like this, but would need a larger quilting room. If only! Thanks for sharing.

matraina 02-17-2012 08:24 AM

Beautiful!!! Love it. Did you do that? What a neat idea.

It is a wonderful table. I am wondering if you have room to turn the cutting table to the short side. I have mine that way so I can walk around 3 sides. It really makes a difference when cutting! Luann

NeverEnoughQuilts 02-17-2012 10:06 AM

No room to turn it, however I have a cutting table made out of an old bowling alley lane that is about twice the size of the ironing center, so I am pretty well set.

quilter7301 02-17-2012 11:20 AM

Wow, that is neat. I bet you will enjoy that

wildyard 02-17-2012 12:11 PM

I absolutely love the shelf for mats and such, what a great idea. Love the whole concept for your ironing center.
