Light Bar for Quilting Machine

Hello everyone.

Being empty nesters, now, wife has a large room for a quilting machine.

After spending 2 days at the Portland OR MQX show, we bought a ABM INNOVA.

After getting it into the room, we really started looking for a light bar to give her the proper light.

Did some searching on the internet, and, you know what? Not much info there. What there was, was expensive. So. I decided to take on the task.

The most reasonable one I did find on-line ran about $1,000. My set up, was considerably less. I found all the parts I needed at my local Lowes except for the corner connections. Those, I found on-line.

Gordon, that is a great idea using the track lighting that way, I'd not thought of that! Thanks for the idea!

Looks like a great idea, and provides a lot of light. Most times I have seen florescent lights above the longarm.
With your track lighting, they can be moved with the machine. :)

You may have just come up with a second career for yourself while your wife is quilting! Looks like a great set up :-)

Great job Gordon! It looks like it came with it. We also just jumped in and got an Innova. The ceiling in my studio is slanted and already had large tube florescents which was good because light bars would not have fit. I like how many lights there are on the bar and that they can be moved. Your wife will really enjoy having it.

WOW what a great idea goes right with the unit if need to be moved.
