Moved to new home with new sewing room

Just tried to post pictures but they are much to big and the site is too technical for me to figure out.
I have a nice big room with a big walk in closet to store all my fabrics and misc. stuff.
Have two windows with pine tree views, Im loving it.
Havent done any sewing yet as Im still unpacking and organizing.
Moved from Phoenix desert to snowy mountains of AZ.
It is snowing today and beautiful outside except very cold.

It sounds wonderful, enjoy!!!!

Sounds like you have the idea setup. Now just enjoy it. The men have their man caves, so we have our girl caves.

Your move should inspire you to quilt! When there's snow out I feel so much more like quilting... and with your beautiful view of snow on pines, it will be wonderful. Enjoy your new room!

Congratulations on your move! How nice to have such a large space to turn into your "sanctuary"! I was just in the Phoenix area visiting friends who live part-time on a houseboat at Lake Pleasant. They took us all over for a week-what a beautiful place! Loved seeing Jerome-can't wait to go back and explore more!

Jerome has a yearly open house where you can tour old homes. The locals dress up in old western dress. It is a fun day.
My room is big but my long arm table sure shrinks it up.
The snow melted mostly in one day. Still cold but not snowed in.

at the very beginning of the pic section, there is an indiv thread of how to pst pic's. if i can fig it out, anyone can. edit your pic's and cut the pixels way down. someone said less than 300. i cut my pixels in 1/2 a couple times before it worked for me. 150 pixils about.

You must work on getting those pics smaller and post some pictures. Sounds beautiful.

Rose Marie, just had to also add I went to Joann's in Peoria on W. Bell Road-what a great experience-for all the "bagging" Joann's gets regarding service etc, I was approached a couple of times by employees asking if I needed any help finding something, and there were several cutters at the cutting table-went thru really fast-then, despite the long line to check out, there were 9 - yes 9- cashiers!! When I went up front and saw the line, I nearly just walked out (DH and our friends were waiting for me), but a lady said it will go quick-I hadn't noticed how many cashiers there were at first. It was only 6 minutes in line!! Wish all the stores would take their "service lessons" from that store!! It was their President's Day sale, so they were really busy. Most impressed, I was!!

You will have a great view! I love looking out at the junipers when I am sewing. Welcome to this neck of the woods!

So glad for you on your new home and room with a view. Hard to imagine Arizona being snowy, but mountains add to the adventure.

Im going to try to post pictures again. So frustrating when this is one ap that is so necessary to have an easy way to do it.
Wish they would post smaller but cant figure that out.
All my fabrics are in my big walk in closet so the room looks nice and organized.

It is easy to resize your photos before you try to upload them, which i think comes preloaded on most comuters these days. Let me know if you would like an explanation. it really is easy to crop, and resize so they are exactly the right size/.

RoseMarie....I would love to see the photos of your new sewing room. Try this: Open your photos in Microsoft Office Picture Manager (or whatever Photo software you have) and click on the Resize tool & follow their instructions...I usually cut the normal size in half and then "Save As" I add an a or #1 to the end of the original file name. Then upload that file to QB. Hope it works....You really do need to show off your accomplishment.

Thank you for sharing. We were married & lived in Phoenix, 1967-1975. I always say, "You can take Bonnie out of Phx. but you cannot take Phx. out of Bonnie." I love it there & have a great sense of wellbeing there. Spent a week there last month in Buckeye RV. park. We still h ave dear friends there in Avondale. Thanks for the reminder.
