Now that's what I call a great idea!!!
I love it more then my 72 inch board that I make merging 2 ironing boards (one normal board with a over the door type board) It's ok but I have problems with it trying to tip over some times when working with longer quilt tops.

SO I'm thinking about changing my plans, using your cart idea and adding fold out sides on each end so I can still have the length when I need it.
You are so smart!!!
Thanks for making this and sharing!

I really love this idea. I bought a big board at the Houston Quilt Show years ago and just now have a room I can use it in. I discovered the underneath boards do not fit the ironing boards it was supposedly designed for. I like your idea much much better. Is your board secured to the cart? Or does it just sit on the top? Can't tell from the picture.

Cool! Like I've said on here before, leave it to a quilter to come up with really neat ideas!

thanks for such a great idea. I bet a 'butcher block' table with wheels and one of those square press on one side and cut on the other side boards might fit perfect and take up less space in my very small craft room. I love your idea, but it would be too big for my small room. You are very clever to think of doing that.

I have a similar set-up with the top of an old over-the-door board that we attached to the top of a plastic rolling cart. I LOVE that it rolls all over my concrete floor. Mine's not nearly as pretty as yours, though!
