I thought these were going to be my mostly finished photos but the non slip paint is lifting in places so everything will have to be moved again so the floor can be repainted.

Great set-up. Paint the floors? Are they concrete?

katesnanna 12-29-2012 03:13 AM

Yes they are concrete.

In my sewing rm I have concrete floors and just put on a sealer and it lifted under the wheels of my chair from the plastic wheels going over it. is this where you are having trouble?

I've been there, when my mom got sick (dementia) I moved in her house to care for her. The laundry room in the basement was the only place I could make a sewing room, I painted the floor with that non-slip paint but it just didn't work so went to carpet, love the carpet. The ceiling hadn't been finished, & since there was so many wires & pipes that I didn't think a ceiling would be possible I bought 5 made in China king size quilts for $25. each at K'Mart & used quilters tacks to put them up with. I bought white quilts in a wedding ring pattern, like that too. People that see it think it looks good.

Love your room, so glad to see I am not the only one the decorates their sewing machine : )

Love the butterflies! So much space would be nice to have.

Try putting some sand in the paint to help with the non slip issues. My ex (divorce finalized as of 11/1/12 woohoo!!) is a painter and they use sand in paint for floors all the time and on painted stairs too. Make sure the paint you purchase is floor paint too. :o)
