I painted long nails pretty colors and nailed them in the wall. I have too many to use racks. At last count I had over 50. My rulers are on display and out of my way. The nails work great for rulers.

They help me keep my rulers within easy reach, and I can pick out the one I want.

I like the wall mounted one.

I put my scissors up with a 14" magnet from Harbor Freight, costs $5.00 and will hold up to 9 lbs!
My rulers I keep on headless nails. I have 3 spots on the wall and I have my long rulers on one/ my square rulers on another and the odd ones on the third! Cheap and easy

I keep mine in a cardboard magazine holder, standing up with all the other holders holding my books and magazines.

Mine all have a small hole in them for hanging so I use a shower curtain hook and hook them all together and hang them on my floor lamp in my sewing area. You could also hang them on the wall with the hook.

Pegboard and before that, several Hercules hooks in the drywall.

Some really great ideas here.

I have a wooden rack like the on pictured in the link. Someone's husband in my guild makes them and they are sold at the annual quilt show. He finishes them so beautifully, and rubs them down nice and smooth. When I close up the quilt area to become a living room for company, etc., I have a plastic rack on the wall in my little craft/quilt closet. It's the closet under the stairs like Harry Potter's bedroom. I must admit I'm bad about putting them in place while I'm working, though, and they end up underneath random bits of fabric all over the place. I love neat systems, but am bad about follow through when I'm being creative.

I bought the hanger that looks like a belt hanger. I didn't like it because the ruler I wanted was behind all the others and you had to take all the other rulers off to get it off. So I found some snap rings that where big enough to go in my rulers. I put those on my rulers and loaded the snap rings on the belt hanger. I just unsnap the ring and take thr ruler off. Very compact, I hand it on a hook by my cutting table.
