I have mine in a mesh over the door shoe rack, some of them are too long so I cut the bottom out of some and let the tall ones slide into the one below.

I use a pretty metal wine rack.

I also use paper towel tubes, wrapping paper tubes for the wider ones. I roll most of them and store inside the tube and write the name or draw a small pic on the outside. I store them in magazine holders, since I got rid of most of my magazines.

When I bought my laq it came with a wooden plate that had like a sampler of 4 or 5 different quilting designs on it . someone told me you could get somebody with a router and make any design for LAQ to use ith a stylus instead of with the laser lite.

Many years ago, when a fashion fabric store was going out of business, I bought several pattern file cabinets for $25 ea. One is now dedicated to my LA with thread in 1 drawer, pantos in 2 drawers, tools in 1 drawer and templates in another.
The pantos are displayed in a binder with sections for the types: general, jeuvenile, floral, leafs, holidays.... On the divider page there is a very small picture of design of each panto in that section. In the section there is a full size on standard size paper to show the density and on the back a picture at about 50% to show the design. This page also includes the name of the design and other important information. They are each rolled and have a rubberband (although I do like the paper towel tube idea to protect the pattern-it's a big $investment), with the name on the outside. The file drawer is divided into sections corresponding to the binder. The customer can easily flip through the binder. |
Another idea is to make make out of clear vinyle just like a shoe keeper. I have seen them made for storing interfacings too. Each pocket can be labled with what it holds and it can be hung right by your machine. The idea is here on the QB somewhere.

I have 4-5" pegs on the side of a thread cabinet that holds my panto's. I also cut a 8x11piece & put it in plastic sleeve in a notebook so it would be easy for people to choose & to see all the choices. I also separated them with labels. That way I don't have to unroll them to show different ones.

Thanks for all the great ideas:)

Wine bottle holder works great. I roll them with design on outside and slide them into the opening.

I bought a map box (the one that held the rolled up maps in tubes) from the Borders shop that went out of business near my house. It is great. It holds my pantos and my rulers near my Innova.
