I would section off an area the size I want and put up walls to make a room and insulate them. The heat would stay in the area much better. I used to sew in my basement years ago and even there it would get very cold in the winter. Have fun unpacking and setting up your new sewing area.

I haven't had much time to work out here. I cannot afford to do any remodeling of the garage. That will have to be a project for down the road. I figure I will make the best of it and if it gets too cold, I will just have to move my sewing machine in the house. Much cheaper...

It looks like you are on the right track.....defining and claiming your space is a great feeling, isn't it?
