I done the same thing-I bought 3 of these boxes and 2 smaller ones. Separated into base colors -labeled the box and my thread has been neat and easy to find for the last couple yrs. I keep wound bobbins in little plastic containers from the fish and tackle aisle inside each box.And now is the time to head to your nearest fish tackle aisle-- the markdowns are starting. I use these little containers for everything from the kitchen to the garage

Yay! And you are right, no mention of the other. I have safely hogtied the quilting room police by their ankles and they are hanging safely in the barn. No worries, I left them some goodies....tee hee hee

Looks good. I had a wall thread holder but when I got my CAT he helped me decide drawer space is better than hunting for my thread every day. But the bending and reaching is good exercise, prob. why my fur baby hid them so well. LOL

It's funny but my thread was annoying me also. I bought a clear container, and it feels much better.. I want to find a smaller container for the bobbins.. I've been doing 15 minutes a day reorganizing things, and I think it's starting to show.. I found out I really needed to clean when the dog went chasing the ball in the bedroom, and it went under the amoire.. He barked at it, which was weird, as he is able to go under it.. He met up with major dust bunnies, and wasn't dealing with them..

Good job. I put my sewing thread into two bigger plastic boxes- just thrown in - darks in one light and medium into the others. Machine and hand quilting threads in different places, neat and orderly. I had two thread holders on the wall, threads got cat hairs and litter dust, finally took them off and into the tubs. I share my sewing room with three cats, one died. so aggravating but, they need to be confined when we arn't home. This is the best place for them.

A pretty rainbow of threads! Lovely box too!
