All in one room. I have all of my sewing and longarm in one area. The fabric and other things are in a storeroom right by the end of the longarm and it works great.

I had everything in my formerly formal living room and we recently had the garage finished out so we could move the mid-arm out there. We put a loveseat in the sewing studio so my hubby can come in and watch tv while I sew. He works out of town usually 3-4 nights a week so when he's home I want to spend time with him...and sew. This works for us.

If I could have everything in one room, I would be thrilled!! I cut on my dining room table, go upstairs to sew in a small corner of a spare bedroom, and back downstairs to iron in the laundry room. Maybe one day I can clear everything out of the spare bedroom and have all my quilting needs in one place.

Everyone has convinced me one room is better than two! I will have to put heat and AC in the room. Thinking about one like you see in a motel.

We remodeled our garage into a sewing studio and it is fabulous. You will be amazed at the room! I put in a hotel style heater/air conditioner and it works just fine! I also love the commute...you will not be sorry..have fun

Congratulations on your wonderful space. I lost mine when we moved.

What a great opportunity to get totally organized in one big space! I'd jump at the chance!

I think I would want all my "stuff" in one room. I think your husband is great to suggest this.

Lucky you, as I am stuck in about 7-8 sq feet in this computer, puppy room and when I have pups it is even less as I have 1-2 24 x 36 playpens, really makes it hard to sew. Looked into a nifty little building but AC/heat, wiring and insulation was too costly at my age. I may some day get more room here, but hopefully not anytime soon.
Enjoy and go for one room if you can. Post pictures!
