I inherited the whole game room when the kids moved out! The black trash can under my cutting table is for scraps to be donated for dog beds. Hope you like my room, I love it!

What a wonderful space to create in.

I noticed your ironing table (at least that is what I think you use it for) appears to be a folding table with a red cover. Did you just cover the table top or did you put a piece of plywood on top and then cover?

It is one of those folding tables. I used the silver ironing board fabric, then covered it with the red fabric. I made both pieces with elastic like fitted sheets so that I could remove them for washing.

Well done! I'm envious of the little writing desk, Spencerian writing is one of my hobbies. What will you use it for?
Super space!

Nice place -- I have a question about your ironing table. I have one like that also but I only have a small ironing pad. I would like to make the whole table an ironing board.

Could you give a few more specifics about how you made the covers? With the silver ironing board fabric be enough to protect the plastic table top from warping?

Thanks for sharing!

I just cut both fabrics approximately 7" wider and longer on each side of the table. I sewed the corners like the fitted sheets (or the fabric boxes everyone was making). Serged the edges then zigzagged the elastic, I used 1/4", on the ends. Make this as tight as you can stand it and it will hold the tops in place. You could also run a casing all around the bottom, run the elastic through, then pull as tight as you want and tie it.

I'm sorry, that's a trash can I've had forever.
