Very nice ribbon rack. Who wouldn't love one of those if they do crafts.

I'm sorry, I've been really busy the last month. Thanks so much for the kind comments. About putting the ribbon spools on the rods: The dowels are spring loaded, sort of like a toilet paper holder. The main rods are 3/4 inches with holes drilled in one end with a 3/8 dowel inserted over the top of a compressed spring. I didn't want to drill holes in the ends of the rack and this is what I came up with. If you look at the very left of the rods, you can see just a tad bit of the smaller dowel. They fit tightly enough so that they actually "snap" into place.
I was telling the person that messaged me, that I'm backed up with Christmas present projects until after the first of the year. After that I may take some orders and I'll come back and see if anyone is interested. Someone asked if I can stain and the answer is yes. Glass doors could be done.
Thanks so much, lloyd email addy is [email protected]

What about plexliglass doors, not as heavy. Cool design, great workmanship

Hi, it looks good. Suggest you make a larger size as well. It would sell. At the very bottom where you have that curved piece I would insert another rod for hanging. No telling what it would be used for, towel, fabric, more ribbon, who knows. I do not like wasted space and that is crying gimme a another rod....

The extra rod mentioned would be easy and could be considered and option. The friend who I made this for had a specific area on a wall that she wanted the rack to hang and I made it to the specs she gave me. I had considered a 36" wide version that would make it nearly a foot wider. Below is one of my mantle clocks..

me too, me too. I really like the idea of a 36" wide one with the extra rod on the bottom.
