Very nice organization! I also have to keep the majority of my stash in my closet-although I have set up a small (and I mean, small!) sewing area in an alcove off the kitchen, which this house considered a dining room, I think! I have all the fabric folded and in those closet hanging sweater and shoe organizers, which is nice because you can see what you have, and I have larger pieces on bolts on the top shelf. However, I really wish I had it all in the same room where I sew! In fact, since I have been making purses the last couple months, I have gradually re-located the fabrics I am using for purses on wire shelving in my sewing area and LOVE looking at it for inspiration! The rest of my family probably isn't too impressed, but no one has said anything - yet! What I haven't organized yet are the scraps I am creating!!

I thought about sorting the fabric by the color; but if you don't have enough of it the color doesn't matter anyway, so I went with the amount. So far it works.
Hmmmmm interesting plan. Never thought about sorting by amount. ???

I'm in the process of organizing my stash and wondered what to do with the smaller pieces that can't be folded with a ruler. Guess it'll be totes for them. If I get too many for a tote, I'll have to use them up in a quilt.

Thanks
