Default Storing Die Cutters

I bought a 50 cent paper holder at a thrift store to hold my dies. How do you store yours?

They fit perfect! I have accuquilt dies. I wonder if they would fit.

But does anyone have any solutions for storing strip dies??? I know they aren't supposed to lay on each or lean.

I put my strip dies on the top of my book shelves. Save away from my children.

I went to goodwill- several trips- and found in " the office supply, kitchen stuff" areas, those racks where you can stack things on edge...like folders, pot lids, etc......each was $1 or so.....they work wonderful for all my dies.....small ones for smaller dies...found a few larger for the long strip dies and an entertainment center for about $6 to hold that whole menagerie of stuff!...that part of sewing cave is organized!

I have my large dies (including my strip dies) standing on end between two cabinets. I keep moving the one out a bit further when I get new dies so that they are not tight, but can't lean too far either. I haven't seen any signs of damage and have been doing it this way for almost 4 years now.

You just want to make sure that the dies aren't leaning so far as to have any part of the foam surrounding the blades compress.

I store my dies in a tall kitchen trash can. Standing on end.

I store my long dies in the die racks from Accuquilt as it holds them perfectly. The smaller dies I store in a plate rack. The rack is sturdy and vinyl coated. It's at Walmart for about $6.

I am lucky to have a peg board wall and they are stored there. Nice and neat and high enough to keep safe from pets, kids, etc.
