Love the space and handkerchief quilt. My mom is getting up there in years and I thought about doing that with hers some day.

Yes...got a pre finished piece of plywood at our Mennards...same as Home Depot?? put some batting on the top and stapled to the back side and used a well used sheet to cover and fold it to the back..takes two people to do this in my case, and my son used a heavy duty stapler to staple it down on the back. It just sits on top of a small portable table and I put my cutting mat on top of it when I'm cutting out a quilt. Very portable and it can all be moved to storage if we have company and I have to put up a blow-up bed in that room for a third bedroom. Good set up for me. Thanks for your comments. Probably should have used insulbrite (?) batting to do this but I didn't and I'm okay with it as is. Probably wouldn't have had to use a pre finished piece of plywood either, but they were already cut in smaller sizes and easy to get home.

What a lovely room, your machines are fab. Great idea for ironing board too it takes up less room, might have to have a go. Thanks for the inspiration.
