I love crazy quilts and good thing about them is that you do not need a pattern and you can use any, and I mean any fabric - from cotton to upholstery, to sheers. You can embelish it, or leave it as it is. Start with a piece of muslin or similar fabric of neutral color (beige or white) and a bag of fabric remnants, make sure the pieces are not too large. Sew your first piece onto the muslin. Pick anoter piece, right sides together, sow the second piece in such a wy to cover the seams of the first fabric, flip the second fabric. Choose another piece...and so on. I like sew and flip technique although there are many different ones out there. The fun part is embelishing your crazy quilting....the sky is your limit. They can get really outrageous - I love it! Verey easy for beginners since you cannot really screw up anything. Have fun!

crazy quilts or crazy squares are simply put foundation piecing with embellish fancy top stitching. Google "Free crazy quilt patterns" or any desired pattern and you'll find lots! Have fun.
