I got a parcel in the post yesterday from Ebony Love (quilt designer) after she decided to offer fabrics from her 'orphans' pile which included lots of triangles, a bag of strips and blocks that she had acquired but no longer had time to use, so now I've got to decide what to do with it all. I love getting scraps from other quilters. On a guild retreat I took everything bar the kitchen sink with enough fabric for a quilt or purses and lots of other options because I'd never been there before and didn't know what to start first. Yet I spent two days making mobile phone holders from 4.5 x 1 inch scraps someone had threatened to throw in the trash. What!!! No! Wait!...
I made three mobile phone holders, gave one to my scrap doner, one to someone else, and kept one for me. I love scraps.
