After two takes of the video, I decided a written tutorial would be more easily understood. Now my goal is to try to figure out how and where I need to put it up so you can see it. Think I got it!
Thanks for this! I agree, creating long rows of blocks and long rows of sashing, and expecting them to match up perfectly is unrealistic for most sew-ers. Once I read (I think it was on QB) that someone had developed the habit of adding sashing to the left and bottom of each block, as she went. Same principle as your advice. Did you put this into the Tutorial Forum? It would be seen by more folks that way, I think. Thanks again. Leslie
Thank you so much for the advice. I'm pretty new at quilting for the most part, a few simple ones in the past and am just now starting to attempt more complicated patterns with sashing and cornerstones. As you can imagine this has been a problem getting all the seems to line up. Your technique I think will make things alot easier. I also agree with Leslie, putting in the Tutorial Forum will make it not only seen by more but they can find it later if they need to refresh their memory. Thanks so much, Michelle
Thanks for the suggestion - will do.
