I am new at this, but I just hooped adhesive stabelizer after peeling the wax like paper off laid the quilting area on the exposed stucky area in the hoop. It worked well although it wasn't a large quilt.
i use my embroidery-capable machine for quilting, too. i don't normally use a stabilizer at all. the batting and back are enough, assuming i have the layers taut enough in the hoop.
Ihave used my embroidery quilting patterns for quit as you go.you will findall the patterns ,quite and quite a few on line.
