April 15, 2012 - Another quilt done on the longarm

I was able to load and quilt a small baby quilt for charity this afternoon. It is another one that I ended up loading the front as the back (it was bigger) and quilting it from the back. The back was a solid yellow and the front was a whole piece of Blue's Clues fabric. I used a varigated blue on the print side and a varigated yellow/blue on the yellow side. I did meandering on this one.
This one turned out better than the last one. It was fun to watch the stitching on the yellow - it is all trimmed and ready for binding by the ladies who sent it to me. It took me longer to load it onto the machine than it did to do the stitching. I am sure this will be the story on the other three too.
They sent me five small quilts to do - I have two done and three left.
I am working on the binding for my quilt - Jester's Court - it is done in batiks - I really don't like doing hand sewing on batiks - I can hardly wait to get it finished so I can take and post pictures.
