Well, I am officially living in Lexington, KY. Anyone from here? I need quilt groups, shops, and anything else that can help.

Welcome to Kentucky. I am further south so I am sorry but I don't do much fabric shopping in Lexington.

We have a shop in Liberty (Casey County) called Kings, you might find it worth a day trip.

I live here, but can't give you much info about shops as I am just getting started again. I know there are several around town, plus Hancocks and Joanns. I hope we can meet up some time. Carol

I live near Liberty and go to Kings to shop. Lots of fabric, good prices. First time in get on their e-mial list so you will know when a new shipment comes in.

Hi and welcome. I live in Lexington May thru October. Am now in Florida. There are three quilt shops in Lexington. Quilters Square off Nicholasville Rd., Q for Quilts off Harrodsburg Rd., and Sew a lot in Hamburg. All great shops.
There is a guild called The Bluegrass Guild, I think. Any of the lqs can give you info on the guild.
Hope you enjoy your time in Lexington. Would love to meet you when I come back in the spring.
I belong to a guild in Paris, Ky which is only about 20 minutes from Lexington. We meet at the extension office last Tuesday of the month. Small guild but very friendly. We have several members who live in Lex.

There is also a shop in Winchester, call A Stitch in Time and one in Mt. Sterling called The Sterling Thimble. I like both of them, also. I live in Richmond, which is the next town south of Lexington off I-75. They do have a good guild in Lexington--it meets the second Tuesday of the month at the Extension Office on Red Mile Road. I went once and enjoyed it, but they were still going strong at 9 p.m. (starts at 7:00) and I had almost an hour drive to get home, so I haven't been back. I wish I could!

You are also close to Berea, just south of Richmond. There are several quilt/craft places there, too. And then if you make it to Somerset near Lake Cumberland, Paul's Discount is a good place to look at fabric (and anything else you might want!).

A group of us from Kentucky are planning to meet for a day in the spring and do a day of hitting the quilt shops. Watch for the information about it here on this list.

A quick trip down I-75 will take you to London -- where Paula's Quilting Pantry is (You can take a look at it here: http://www.mountainlaurelquiltersclub.org/quilt-shop).

She has a lot of repros (30's, feedsack and Civil War), thimbleberries, Jo Morton, lots of Kona cottons, etc. all at $5 a yard. She's having a big sale on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

We have classes there (I'm doing the Circuit Rider once a month), and we have an excellent club as well!

We'd love to have you!
Blessings!
