Any quilt stores in the area that you would recommend? We are going to visit the Biltmore Estates and of course no trip is complete without a quilt shop stop.

I don't know about quilt stores but I LOVE the Biltmore Estates! I've been twice and still didn't see all I wanted.

I know there is a quilt store in Flat Rock, NC which would be a nice drive from Asheville.

Lucky you, never been up there in the Fall. Gorgeous area. Look up quilt barns to find some along the way. Enjoy!!

There is a quilt store in Flat Rock, NC called My Quilt Shoppe. There is also one in Horseshoe, NC called Material Things. Below are the websites. These two are right in Hendersonville, NC which is about 30 minutes from Asheville.

You ABSOLUTELY have to visit the Foam and Fabric Outlet. Don't let the name fool you. It's located on Biltmore Drive.

Don't waste your time at Hancock Fabric in Asheville. F & F in downtown Asheville is small but they are lovely ladies...Material Things, Zowee!! And My Quilt Shoppe, a bit of a drive but worth it....Also a Foam and Fabric on Hendersonville Road, that has lots of nice stuff.....My vote, Material Things and My Quilt Shoppe.
Enjoy Biltmore

I live in Asheville. Foam and Frabic outlet on Hendersonville Rd is better than the one on Biltmore Ave. They have a huge selection plus tables that are 3.99 a yard. Also on Hendersonville Rd (miles apart) is Asheville Cotton Co. www.ashevillecottonco.com lots of fabric. There are some smaller stores too but these are the best...there is nice quilt shop in Hendersonville too if you go over there only about 30 min from Asheville. You can email me if you have any other questions. [email protected]
