It is getting down to the nitty gritty for signing up for the Thumb Area/Lake Huron Quilters Retreat at Camp Cavell. Getting lots of interest and wanted to remind everyone to get signed up. It is November 11, 12 & 13, 2011. Cabins are heated, and the lodge overlooks the lake with one of the most beautiful views you have seen. PM me if you want more information. Three days, food, sleeping quarters, and all kinds of fun and comraderie for the unheard of price of $125. Don't miss out.

Camp Cavell is in Lexington, about 3 miles north of town, right on the lake. Campcavell.com has some great pictures.

Two weeks ago I went there and took a tour, it is very rustic and cozy, perfect for a retreat. I spoke with a few of the staff and everyone is very friendly. I am going with a group of five and will have my reservations in this month, waiting for Uncle Sam check. I even talked a non quilter to go with us hoping to convert her, she is thinking of doing a rag quilt. We are all getting very excited especially after taking the tour and speaking with the staff and campers that were there.
