I also stayed in Marion and I guess I drive faster cause it didn't take me an hour (yeah ... guilty of lead footitis!). BUT it was all interstate, and quite a pretty drive too - hilly and wooded. I was able to book that only two weeks or so before the show.

A must see...the Quilt Museum! I enjoy the vintage quilt show sponsored by the Rotary Club. Eleanore Burns tent show is always fun! I might have to go this year. It have a few years since i attended.

We live in Lone Oak, a suburb outside Paducah. Our house is 9 miles from the quilt museum. We have a guest suite that we are offering for quilt week. It is detached from our residence and has a queen bed, private bathroom, kitchenette (with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and ice maker), fully furnished with all linens and dishes. Television, cable, & internet. It is on 4 acres and has beautiful views. This suite was just completed this summer and is very nice. Any interest? Any suggestions where I can also post this?

I don't know if I will get to go this time as I am the primary babysitter for my newborn granddaughter. But we have a camper and plan to stay at the Land Between the Lakes area for the visit to Paducah whenever we do get to go.

If you go take in the church meals. Friday night is a pulled pork dinner which is fabulous. Saturday night is the Methodist buffet also fabulous. I love supporting their missions.

They usually are advertised in the color flyer put out about all the activities or ask at the Paducah info desk at the show. There are many more but out bus tour takes in these two every year.
