Jacksonville has 3 great quilt shops. One is closed on Saturdays so I will tell you about the other 2. The Cotton Patch is on RT 17. She is packed to the gills with fabric, samples, patterns & the tinest dog called Rambo. The other is All About Quilting on Henderson Drive. She has lots of patterns, fabric, samples & tools. when you are all done, go up to Books-A-Million & enjoy one of their fancy coffees sitting outside in the shade. I have just described my perfect 'me' day! Except mine would be Tu-Fr when the 3rd store is open!

Enjoy MaryJo's. You can get lost there! But visit the LQS in Jacksonville. You won't be disappointed.

I'm thinking Friday it will have to be then. I know Henderson Drive is not far from where she lives- I know I've been on it. (You retain more when you drive, but I've always been chauffeured around when visiting)

I will add these to my notebook and see how much I can drag her around with me. :)

Well then, the 3rd one is Country Collections, south on RT 17, couple miles out of town. Free standing cinder block building. Not much to look at outside but OH BOY is it great inside.

Mary Jo's is a long way from where you will be. it is west of Charlotte.

yes- I know it's a distance. With the 3 shops local, they will be enough for this trip. I know hubby would like to just hang out so I will get directions and venture out early.

Need to get to the beach too! Even if the surf is rough, sand and a blanket and a book is good enough for me!
