Ok, we will be in this area for a time tomorrow. Any one from this area have any suggestions for any LQS? Any ideas would be appreciated.

The Quilt Block and Chester County Quilting are nearby. I sent you a PM with directions. Enjoy!

    Thanks for the suggestions.
Red Roses - Your directions were spot on. Visited both the Quilt Block and Chester County Quilting. Got a patten for the Birdie Sling Tote by Amy Butler and all the ingredients to make it, a pattern for a beach tote and the plastic mesh for that, and some fabric with dog bones on it to use for a quilt for a charity quilt for a dog rescue group.
The we went to a Good will store and I got some pieces of fabric for scrappy quilts and some patterns for quilts from precuts for 47 cents a piece.
AND got to pick up our youngest DD who is home for a month from New Zealand where she is going to grad school...all in all a wonderful day! and the weather was gorgeous!

Don't know how far away you want to go, but Lancaster isn't far and there are many quilt shops there, including The Old Country Store, in Paradise, PA.

You are right! The Lancaster area is a Mecca for quilters! I have been to the old country store and many others in that area. Actually twice this year, once for the quilt show.

Am home now and did find some LQS's with the help of Red Roses. Thanks for the suggestion however. It was nice of you to respond, everyone on this board is so helpful!

A few years ago, I emailed This n'that since I moved from that area to NC. and was going back for a visit. They said that they are an on-line business only.
While in Exton, you need to go up Rt. 322 to the Amish country.Visit SHADY Maple for the food (Amish Buffet) and Goods, the old style 5 and 10 for the stuff (some fabric, not much).
There is a fabric loft in Morgantown, Hayloft Fabrics. 150 Moreview Blvd. Morgantown. 610-286-5045. 2nd floor of Martins Country store. You will LOVE it. You can find them online.
