I got in touch with Patrice and asked her about making the search a little more geographic-friendly. Here is her response:

"members can use the Advance mode of Member Search. Those who have chosen to reveal their locations will come up on the list ... if they have included the sort of info the searcher is looking for."

I'll try it and see how it goes. Good luck everyone!

I tried a couple of searches for my state and city. When I spelled out the state I got a couple of posts, when I put in my city I got my post, which had Columbus Oh. But when I just put in the 2 letter abbrev. for our state OH then I got a message that either the term was too short or there were no posts. So if you are trying to find others in your state or if you want to be found by your state you will need more than the 2 letter postal abbreviation.

Really Dunster? I live in Tacoma and I never heard of this. Wonder if it's just the coastal area. I think this is a great idea. I am a wannabe. I consider myself an advanced beginer. But I enjoy it.
