We went to the semi-annual show in Rutland, Vermont today. It's on tomorrow also at St. Joseph's College. Lovely selection of quilts including challenge quilts expressing emotions regarding Hurricane Irene which did severe damage in this area last fall. Found some neat bargains at the consignment shop, and ran into several quilt friends there. Best of all, we ended up sitting with two special local quilters of some renown, including Susan Damone Balch. (Google her and see what she does!) So many interesting conversations and inspirations. Noticed the way even in the parking lot strangers smile and meet your eye at a quilt show! If you're in the area, it's a fun day.
