Mary(bigsister63) and I are planning to spend Thursday visiting as many of the shops as we can stand. Does anybody else want to play? We would love to meet up with other board members.

It should be loads of fun, unfortunately I don't think we will be able to see much of Amish country other than the quilt shops.

It is basically a contest. This one is 12 shops, at each shop you visit they stamp a card and you get a free pattern and entered into a contest for all kinds of prizes. If you go to all of the shops and turn in your card you are entered for the BIG prizes. Each shop makes a block from the same fabric line, and in this case the same block, and then they swap them and each finishes the quilt in their own way using one block from each store. You can purchase the block kits, or that stores finishing kit, or even an entire quilt kit.

This year's quilts

I am bigsis63 and I went with Laurie on the Amish Quilt hop. We were gone 12 hours and hit 10 shops in Holms county /amish country of southern Ohio. What fun! Each shop had different fabric and patterns and all of the ladies were so helpful. It is such fun to see all the different fabrics and patterns. (and of course spend money) It would be really fun to go to different areas/local states to quilt hops so post if there is one in your area!
