Hi Everyone,

I am planning on going to the quilt show at Paducah, Kentucky next year and was wondering who else is planning on going. I think it would be cool for us to have a meet and greet there.

I was talking to other quilters in live chat and we were discussing this.

If you are interested please post a note so we can start working on the plans.

The website about the quilt show is:

I'm going to try to be there. Can't say for sure yet.
I'd love to meet others from this board.

I usually go on a bus trip just for one day. Let me know if we're supposed to pin a charm fabric to our shirt or something. Several members have a meet planned for Shipshewana and they're all going to pin a square of fabric to their shirts.

I have talked to leaha (from this board) about going to this. She lives really close to here, so maybe she could help with any local info any needs.

I'm going to plan to go to this right now, BUT, things may change. Hopefully, not enough to make me miss it!

It would be fun , instead of a square of fabric, maybe do a swap of tiny quilt blocks? Or something? We'd have plenty of time to work on them.

I found this interesting, there are several groups from different states going together. Here's the link:

I was thinking of going. I live so close but have never gone. Maybe I will make it to the next one.

I think it would be fun to meet at Whaler's restaurant for a beverage and a snack. it's also air conditioned and last year was warm in the afternoon.

We could each make a certain size (to be determined later, I'm leaning toward 6.5") traditional block and pin it to our shirt or in my case dress, then when we run into each other we could exchange. We might exchange 20 times throughout the day. Each person that has it could add their own small label with their screen name to the back of it. It would be fun to see how many times they were exchanged. The person that made the block could put a star by their name. That way we could see who made it and each person that had it. Just an idea. We could use our own favorite colors or pick a color theme that suited everyone (yeah, right, like that could happen LOL) We could even pick a certain block like a Monkey Wrench, 9 patch, Churn Dash, or whatever, just something that would identify us to each other.
